Your Physio Questions, Answered

  • No. You do not need a referral to see a physiotherapist in Ontario. However, some insurance plans require a referral for reimbursement, so we recommend checking with your provider.

  • Wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move and makes the area being assessed easy to access. For example, bring or wear shorts for a knee or lower-leg assessment.

  • Most extended health plans include physiotherapy coverage. We’ll provide you with a receipt to submit to your insurance provider or you can keep for tax purposes.

  • Payment is due at the end of your appointment. We accept credit card, e-transfer or cash and you’ll receive an emailed receipt for insurance or tax purposes.

  • We require at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule an appointment. Late cancellations and missed appointments are charged the full appointment fee.

  • Your physiotherapist will discuss your concerns, assess your movement and symptoms, and develop a treatment plan tailored to your goals. You will also receive your first treatment and be sent home with exercises to complete.
